Multi AVAS (Multi Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System)
The Multi Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System (M-AVAS) is an advanced device engineered to enhance road safety by addressing the near-silent operation of electric vehicles (EVs), particularly at low speeds. Its primary function is to generate artificial sounds to alert Vulnerable Road Users (VRU), including pedestrians, visually impaired individuals, cyclists, and motorcyclists, of an EV's presence. The system replicates engine and horn sounds while providing configurable alerts such as reverse gear notification, charging status (on/off), door open/close, and other critical audio signals.
The Multi AVAS, developed by Seger, is compatible with fully electric and hybrid vehicle platforms, including BEV, HEV, PHEV, and FCEV. Its modular design and robust engineering ensure adaptability for diverse electric vehicle architectures, making it an essential component for next-generation vehicle safety systems.
The product has been rigorously designed to comply with global automotive standards, including ECE R28 and ECE R138 in Europe, FMVSS 141 in the USA, and GB/T – 2018 in China. Furthermore, it adheres to ECE R10 requirements for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
